Z06: Racing technology in a street–legal package
We race to win, but also to build powerful and efficient vehicles. Though we're not going to lie — winning feels good. The aluminum–framed Z06 with carbon–fiber components throughout is the lightest and most balanced 2012 Corvette. Z06 has stunned competitors on and off the track since its return.
With improved performance packages along with even more aggressive style options in store for 2012, everyone may want to brace themselves.
Corvette Z06 is powered by a 7.0 Liter V8 engine, hand–built by a skilled craftsmen at GM's Performance Build Center in Michigan4. When it comes to performance, no amount of attention is too great and no detail is overlooked. That's why Z06 offers available Michelin PS Cup tires, an available carbon fiber domed hood and Magnetic Selective Ride Control with Performance Traction Management (PTM).
Everything we learn on the track is applied because if it makes it a better race car, it makes it a better sports car, period. That's just how we think.
